An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the OS 1st edition map in the corner of a modern field to the south of Witchampton Lane. The post medieval extractive pit is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the OS 1st edition map in the corner of a modern field to the south of Witchampton Lane. The post medieval extractive pit is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery (1-2), it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
