Full Description
An area of historic cultivation on the west side of Northleigh Road, Colehill, is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features comprise parallel narrow ditches and ridges 3.2m apart with a 1m wide ditch and extending across a historic enclsure recorded on the OS 1st Edition map (2). The features may be those of post medieval narrow ridge and furrow, although a later origin is also possible.
The features are still visible within open fields on 2012 Google Earth imagery (3). They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
