Full Description
Ditched and banked linear features at highlands, Colehill, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The features are narrow and broadly rectilinear in form and are showing as out of use or partial boundaries on the OS 1st Edition map (2). They are presumed to be historic field boundaries of probable post medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible.
The site is under housing off Badbury Drive on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible; the southern boundaryof Badbury Driveappears to respect one of the former boundary lines. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
