Monument record MDO40613 - Post medieval extractive pit, Stone Park House, Pamphill

A small post medieval extractive pit to the south of Stone Park House is visible on current Lidar imagery and on 1940's and 1950's aerial photographs. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

A small post medieval extractive pit to the south of Stone Park House is visible on current Lidar imagery (1). It is also faintly visible on 1940s and 1950s aerial photographs (2 and 3).

The feature is sub-oval in form and around 14.5m long by 10.6m wide. It is situated adjacent to the south side of Cowgrove Rd.

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
