Summary

An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of The Rookery, Moor Crichel. The post medieval extractive pit is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, it has since been plough-levelled. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

An 'Old Chalk Pit' is marked on the OS 1st edition map to the west of The Rookery, Moor Crichel. The post medieval extractive pit is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, it has since been plough-levelled (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
