The feature comprises a hollowrectangular structure 20.5m long by 15.6m wide with 1m wide outer walls.
The feature is situated within a grassed plot surrounded by perimeter walls. It is presumed to be a wartime water storage facility for use in the case of air raids and incendiary fires. The site was demolished by 1959; a house is shown under construction on a 1959 aerial photograph (2).
