Full Description

A possible 20th century bomb crater is visible to the south of South Bockhampton on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature comprises an irregular crater with an outer upcast bank varying from 1.4m to 2.8m in width. The feature may alternatively be of agricultural or extractive origin.

The site is a solar farm on 2017 Google Earth imagery and the feature is no longer visible. It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
