Full Description

A ditched linear feature to the northwest of Hawthorn Farm is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).

The feature comprises a section of a long curvilinear field boundary present on the OS 1st Edition map and forming the northern boundary of a row of historic enclosures (2). The boundary line is likely to be of medieval origin, although some of the adjacent enclosure boundaries may be later, probably post medieval, in date.

It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
