Full Description
Ditched linear earthworks on Coward's Marsh, Christchurch, are visible on 1940s and 1950s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1-3).
The features comprise long sinous and rectilinear ditches that span the marshy floodplain and interlink between historic field boundaries. They are considered to be historic trackways of probable post medieval date.
The majority of features remain visible, albeit faintly in some cases, on current Google Earth imagery. They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
