Full Description
A ditched linear earthwork on the Avon river floodplain at Christchurch is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The feature runs southwest to northeast between two pints of the riverbank, cutting two probable post medieval field boundaries. It is presumed to be a historic trackway of probable post medieval date..
The feature is still faintly visible on 2002 Google Earth imagery (2). It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
