Summary

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the east of Haythorne Common. They are considered to be of medieval or later date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the east of Haythorne Common (1). They are considered to be of medieval or later date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. Some banks are still visible as earthworks on lidar imagery (2), the rest of the site having been levelled by modern farming development.
