Full Description
A curvilinear banked earthwork on Tenantry Down is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).
The feature is 226m long and curves outwards to the east and inwards to the west , where it may be truncated by a post medieval field boundary and trackway. The feature is presumed to represent afield boundary or boundary bank of late prehistoric date, although a later, possibly medieval origin, is also possible.
The feature may be associated with a late prehistoric dyke to the west (MDO5545).
It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
