Summary

Small sections of perpendicular banked field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the north and northwest of North Farm. They are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date although an earlier origin is possible. They may be a continuation of the field system described in MDO40440 and MDO40441 and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Small sections of perpendicular banked field boundaries are visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery in fields to the north and northwest of North Farm (1). They are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date although an earlier origin is possible. They may be a continuation of the field system described in MDO40440 and MDO40441 and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
