Summary

A group of small rectilinear enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 in fields to the west of Gaunt's Common, Hinton Martell. The features are undated, they may be prehistoric or perhaps of geomorphological origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A group of small rectilinear enclosures are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 in fields to the west of Gaunt's Common, Hinton Martell (1). The features comprise four rectilinear enclosures 25m to 40m across with associated linear boundaries. The features may be prehistoric in date or perhaps of geomorphological origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
