Full Description
An extensive series of cropmarks are visible on aerial photographs taken in between 1945 and 2002 in fields to the south of High Lea Farm, Hinton Martell (1-4). They comprise a large curvilinear ditched enclosure (150m by 90m) with associated field boundaries, pits and trackways. The features are considered to be of later prehistoric (Bronze Age or Iron Age) date and lie immediately to the north of the area marked as a 'British Village' on the OS 1st edition map (5). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
