Full Description
SU 0004 0500 (FCE) A rapid examination of air photography <1> suggests the presence of a circular feature in the form of an interrupted ditch enclosing a possible ring ditch, possibly of Prehistoric or Roman date, visible as cropmarks. <2>
A sub-circular enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1989 to the south of High Lea Farm, Hinton Martell <1>. It is 25m across and on its southern and eastern sides appears to be constructed of a series of pits or an interrupted ditch. It is considered likely to be of prehistoric origin and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
