Summary

Parallel cultivation marks are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the south of Holt Wood, Rookshill Farm. The features run under and obliquely to the modern field pattern and may be of medieval (or later) date. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Parallel cultivation marks are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the south of Holt Wood, Rookshill Farm (1). The features run under and obliquely to the modern field pattern and may be of medieval (or later) date. They lie just within within the boundary of the medieval deer park (MDO5758) and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
