Summary

A banked linear earthwork on the west side of St Giles's Park is visible on current Lidar imagery. The feature is presumed to be a field boundary of probable medieval date, although an earlier origin is possible. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

A banked linear earthwork on the west side of St Giles's Park is visible on current Lidar imagery (1).

The feature is wide and curvilinear in form and is presumed to be a field boundary of probable medieval date. It is overlain at its northwest end by a narrow banked rectilinear field boundary of probable post medieval origin (MDO40347).

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
