Full Description
A loose cluster of small sub-circular cropmarks on the north side of the Drive Plantation, St Giles's Park, are visible on 1997 aerial photographs (1-3).
The features vary between sub-oval and sub-circular in form and are around 3m in diameter. The are situated within an area of late prehistoric activity and on the northwest edges of a probable late prehistoric or medieval field system (MDO39515). The features may represent late prehistoric pits, although it also possible they are of natural or agricultural origin. There is a possible continuation of similar features on the north side of the B3081 (MDO40324).
The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
