Summary

A large irregular ring-ditch on the south side of the Drive Plantation, St Giles's Park, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs taken 1989 and 2010. The feature is presumed to represent a Bronze Age barrow.

Full Description

The cropmark of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This large ring ditch is situated on the western side of The Drive Plantation at SU 0456 1161. <2>

A large irregular ring-ditch on the south side of the Drive Plantation, St Giles's Park, is visible as a cropmark on a 1989 aerial photograph <1>. The feature ranges between 41.6m and 44m across with a 2.8m wide outer ditch and is presumed to represent a Bronze Age barrow. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
