Full Description
A post medieval chalk pit and lime kiln to the north of Keepers Cottage are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The chalk pit measures 61m by 47.6m at its widest extents. The blurred outline of the lime kiln is visible at its northern end (1). Both the chalk pit and lime kiln are present on the OS 1st Edition map (2).
The features are within cropping fields in a 2014 aerial photograph and no longer visible (3). They were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
