A post medieval extractive pit to the east of Keepers Cottage is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The feature is 40m long by 20m wide at its widest extent. It is still visible in a 2014 aerial photograph (2). It was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
