Summary

A Bronze Age barrow to the northwest of Glebe Farm, Wimborne St Giles, is visible as a cropmark of a ring ditch on aerial photographs. The feature measures 27m in diameter with a 1.7m wide outer ditch. There appears to be a small 5.5m diameter sub-circular hollow at its centre. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

SU 03391242. Ring ditch, diameter 23m, visible on air photograph. <1-2>

A sub-circular ring ditch to the northwest of Glebe Farm, Wimborne St Giles, is visible as a cropmark on a 2007 aerial photograph <5>. It also appears as a less well defined feature on a 1989 aerial photograph and again in 2005 <3-4>.

The feature measures 27m in diameter with a 1.7m wide outer ditch. There appears to be a small 5.5m in diameter sub-circular hollow at its centre. The feature is presumed to represent a Bronze Age barrow.

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
