Full Description
The cropmark of a probable Bronze Age ring ditch can be seen on HE Reconnaissance aerial photographs taken in 2010. This ring ditch is situated to the north-west of The Drive Plantation at SU 0404 1213. <2>
A sub-circular double concentric ring ditch to the southeast of Glebe Farm, Wimborne St Giles, is visible as a cropmark on a 1997 aerial photograph. <1>
The ring ditch measures 24m in diameter with a 2.4m wide outer ditch and a 0.6m inner ditch, the two being 5m apart. A small 1.75m in diameter hollow is visible in the centre of the feature. The feature is presumed to represent a Bronze Age barrow.
