Full Description
A sub-circular cropmark at St Giles's Park is visible on a 1989 aerial photograph (1).
The cropmark measures 7m by 9m and is situated immediately adjacent to the west side of a pennanular ring ditch (MDO40256). The feature is one of a line of three similar features (MDO40258 and 40259) and is probably prehistoric in origin, possibly representing a funerary barrow of Bronze Age or possibly Iron Age origin.
The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
