Monument record MDO40255 - Prehistoric ring ditch, St Giles's Park, Wimborne St Giles

A penannular ring ditch at St Giles's Park is visible as a cropmark on 1989 aerial photographs. The feature is probably prehistoric in origin, possibly between Bronze Age and Iron Age in date. The ring ditch measures 43m in diameter, with a 3.8m wide ditch and a possible entrance to the southeast. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.
