Monument record MDO40226 - Possible Bronze Age barrow, Knowlton, Woodlands

A sub-circular cropmark at Knowlton is visible on a 1954 aerial photograph. The feature may represent a Bronze Age or later barrow. The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

A sub-circular cropmark at Knowlton is visible on a 1954 aerial photograph (1).

The feature measures around 7.6m across and has a single 0.5m wide external ditch. The feature may represent a small barrow, probably of Bronze Age origin but a later date is possible.

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
