Full Description
The probable site of a post medieval extractive pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 to the northeast of Hillbrook, Horton (1). A series of linear features running up to it from the southwest are considered to be contemporary trackways. The site is still visible under trees on lidar imagery (2); it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
