Summary

Two ditched linear features to the east of Brockington Farm are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are likely to be post medieval trackways. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP project.

Full Description

Two ditched linear features to the east of Brockington Farm are visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The features are likely to be post medieval trackways.

The southernmost of the two trackways links Brockington with a north-south running trackway from Knowlton via the former Charlton Dairy Farm shown on the OS 1st Edition map (2).

The earthworks are also visible on a 1995 aerial photograph (3) and remain visible on current Google Earth imagery.

The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
