Full Description
Fragments of a post medieval water meadow are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 alongside the River Crane to the west of the Salisbury and Dorset Junction railway (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. Most drains and leats have since been destroyed by landscaping associated with the modern golf course; the southernmost portion does remain intact in grassland (2).
