Full Description
Bank and ditched linear features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946, in the vicinity of what is now Potterne Hill Nature Reserve, Verwood (1). The features are considered to be the remains of a medieval or later fields system , they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The northern portion of the site has been destroyed by modern housing (2), the southern half includes an enclosure marked on the OS 1st edition map (3) which is partially still extant under scrub (4).
