Summary

A curvilinear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1985 to the south of the River Crane at Horton Farm, Horton. It is 25-30m across and may be the remains of a prehistoric enclosure. It lies to the east of three prehistoric ring ditches (described MDO39843-5) and is possibly associated with the remains of a field system described in MDO39915. The sites was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A curvilinear ditched feature is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1985 to the south of the River Crane at Horton Farm, Horton (1). It is 25-30m across and may be the remains of a prehistoric enclosure. It lies to the east of three prehistoric ring ditches (described MDO39843-5) and is possibly associated with the remains of a field system described in MDO39915. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
