Summary

An oval mound, 19m by 14m across, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the north of Horton Common Crossing. The feature lies to the south of a known Bronze Age barrow cemetery and may be an outlier or a more recent feature, possibly the result of lidar processing. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

An oval mound, 19m by 14m across, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery to the north of Horton Common Crossing (1). The feature lies to the south of a known Bronze Age barrow cemetery and may be an outlier or a more recent feature, possibly the result of lidar processing. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
