Full Description

A banked linear feature visible on Brockington Down on Current Lidar imagery (1).

The banked linear extends northeast from a trackway leading northeast from Gussage All Saints, shown on the OS 1st Edition map (2) and cut by a later modern field boundary, still extant. It is likely to be associated with a historic trackway or droveway of medieval or post medieval origin but it is on broadly the same alignment as an extensive banked Late Iron Age to Romano-British field system to the southwest (MDO39859) and may alternatively be a boundary feature associated with this monument.

The features are located within modern cropping fields and may be vulnerable to ploughing. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
