Full Description
An extensive series of ditched trackways are visible as earthworks on historic aerial photographs taken in the 1940s and 50s running roughly NW-SE across Lower Common from what is now Birch Tree Farm to Ashley Industrial Estate, a distance of 1.8km (Royal Air Force 1947; Royal Air Force 1953). The features are considered to be medieval or later in date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
