Summary

A post medieval wood bank is marked on the OS 1st edition map running east-west for 950m within woods to the north of Lower Mannington, Holt. It is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947. It is partially marked on the modern OS Mastermap much has been levelled bar a small section fossilised in the modern field boundaries. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A post medieval wood bank is marked on the OS 1st edition map running east-west for 950m within woods to the north of Lower Mannington, Holt. It is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 (1). It is partially marked on the modern OS Mastermap much has been levelled bar a small section fossilised in the modern field boundaries (2-3). The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
