Full Description

A series of post medieval extractive pits and associated buildings and structures on the east of Dudmoor Farm Road, Christchurch, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The area of extraction extends northeast from Dudmoor Farm Road for a distance of around 800m. The northeastern extent expanded during the 1950s (2).

The site is partially redeveloped and partially within fields on current Google Earth imagery and the features are no longer visible.

The feature was digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
