A post medieval extractive pit on St Catherine's Hill is visible on 1940s Aerial Photographs and on current Lidar imagery (1 and 2).

The area of extraction extends across most of the summit of Catherine's Hill. The site is under tree cover on current Google Earth imagery.

The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
