Full Description
Four field units of parallel ditched features are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on the banks of the River Crane north west of Verwood Manor Farm (1). The features are considered likely to be drainage features of 19th or early 20th century origin, they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. A small portion of the site was destroyed during remodelling for a fish pond, the rest is still visdible as extant earthworks under trees on lidar imagery (2-3).
