Summary

A field of slightly curved, narrow ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 in the vicinity of Harts Farm, Horton. The features are considered to be medieval or later in date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

A field of slightly curved, narrow ridge and furrow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 in the vicinity of Harts Farm, Horton (1). The features are considered to be medieval or later in date and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The features have been levelled by ploughing and pasture improvements and are no longer visible on more reecent recent vertical photographs (2-3).
