Please read our .

Summary

A concentration of pieces of clay pipe, bricks, limestone, and other structural material from a kiln were recorded in 2011 during the digging of a service trench to Frome House. Parts of the internal structure - the muffle - were seen in the side of the trench, and nearly 2000 pieces of clay pipe wasters recovered from the trench and from spoil heaps. The maker named on the pipes was Augustus Moore who is known to have worked between 1830 and 1834.
