A large area of extraction is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south of David's Cross, Horton. The features are considered to be of post medieval or early 20th century origin (1-2). They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The features have been partially plough-levelled but are still visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery (3).
