Full Description
A series of extractive pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on Horton Common (1-2). The features are considered to be of post medieval or early 20th century origin. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The features have been partially plough-levelled but are still visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery (3).
