Summary

Two small buildings and a banked enclosure on St Catherine`s Hill are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The buildings are within an area of early 20th century military activity and a miiltary origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Two small buildings and a banked enclosure on St Catherine`s Hill are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1). The buildings are within an area of early 20th century military activity and a miiltary origin is possible.

The buildings are shown as roofless structures by 1954 (2) and are no longer visible on current Google Earth imagery.

The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
