Summary

A series of banked and ditched linear and curvilinear features on the southwest edge of Dayman`s Wood, Hurn, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are probably associated with historic field boundaries or possible wood banks of medieval or post medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A series of banked and ditched linear and curvilinear features on the southwest edge of Dayman`s Wood, Hurn, are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).

The features are probably associated with historic field boundaries or possible wood banks of medieval or post medieval origin.

The features are still visible on current Google Earth imagery and were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
