Full Description
Two historic ditched field boundaries to the southeast of Quomp Copse are visible on 1940s aerial photographs (1).
The field boundaries are straight and rectilinear in form and aligned with adjacent historic enclosures shown on the OS 1st Edition ma, which they sub-divide (2). They are likely to be medieval or post medieval in origin, although a later date is possible.
The features are clearly visible as earthworks under pasture on Google Earth imagery of 2012 (2) and are still visible on current Google Imagery (3). The features were digitally plotted by the Dorset Stour NMP.
