A ditched trackway in the northeast part of Hurn Airfield are visible on 1940s aerial photographs and current Lidar imagery (1 and 2).

The trackway appears to be an extension of a trackway to its west, shown on the OS 1st Edition map (2). It is likely to be post medieval in origin, although a later date is possible. The extended trackway runs from the west to the southeast to meet a ditched and banked historic field boundary, also shown on the OS 1st Edition map and still extant in sections in 1946 (1 and 2).
