Summary

Two groups of small extractive pits of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks on 1946 aerial photographs to the south of Daggon Road in the vicinity of Pugs Plantation. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Two groups of small extractive pits of medieval or later date are visible as earthworks on 1946 aerial photographs to the south of Daggon Road in the vicinity of Pugs Plantation (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The eastern group as been partially levelled by ploughing (2) but the features are still visible on lidar imagery (3).
