Full Description
One of several mounds visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Alderholt Common (1). Possible site of a medieval or later pillow mound. This is an elogated mound orientated roughly northeast -southwest , 30m by 7m with a flanking ditch. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site has since been ploughed (2) and the features are no longer visible on recent digital imagery (3).
