Summary

A prehistoric ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Pottern Farm. It is considered likely to be the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow. The site has since been developed into a golf course and the features are no longer visible, they were digitally plotted plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A prehistoric ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the south of Pottern Farm (1). It is considered likely to be the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow. An adjacent ditch is likely to be a later drainage feature. The site has since been developed into a golf course and the features are no longer visible, they were digitally plotted plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.
